Captain Rahane to be dropped from second test, hints Dravid

New Delhi, 30/11: Despite New Zealand’s 9 wickets on the last day of the Kanpur Test, Team India could not register a win. Team India could not take a wicket in the last 52 balls and New Zealand drew the first Test. In this Test, Ajinkya Rahane, who was captaining the team in the absence of Virat Kohli, once again failed to play a big innings. However, coach Rahul Dravid is not worried about Rahane’s poor form. He defended Rahane and said that he will soon return to form.

Ever since the flop in the Kanpur Test, questions are being raised whether Ajinkya Rahane will get a place in the Mumbai Test after Virat Kohli joins the team for the second Test? Dravid did not give any direct answer to this question, but gave his point of view in gestures. In fact, in the virtual press conference after the end of the match, when Dravid was asked whether Rahane’s current form is going to increase the team’s concern, he said that there is no need to worry too much for this. Obviously you would like Ajinkya to score more runs for you, he himself would have wanted the same.
