Mumbai, 4/12Kartik Aaryan was a part of the film ‘Dostana 2’ being produced under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. He was supposed to share the screen with Jhanvi Kapoor and Laksshya in the film, but earlier this year news came that the actor was no longer a part of the film. When Karthik Aryan was asked to comment on leaving ‘Dostana 2’, the actor refused to do so.
The news of rift with Karan came in front
Karthik Aryan said during a conversation with Aaj Tak that he will not talk about exiting ‘Dostana 2’. Kartik says, ‘I am not a part of any Bollywood camp. I have reached here on the strength of my talent and I will do the same in future also. I don’t want to comment on Karan Johar’s film ‘Dostana’.
The film ‘Dostana 2’ was announced in 2019. Like many other films, its shooting was also halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the production house was to resume shooting, news surfaced that there was a rift between Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar, due to which the actor walked out of the project.
Karan and Karthik did not give any reaction to these news then. Dharma Productions issued a statement announcing the resumption of the film. The statement read, ‘Due to professional circumstances, we have decided to maintain a silence. We will remake ‘Dostana 2’. Please wait for the official announcement. However, there has been no update since then.
Kartik is worried about the family
Kartik Aaryan once said that the ongoing controversies in his professional life trouble his family. In an interview, Karthik had said, ‘Sometimes when things get out of balance, it affects to such an extent that you are compelled to wonder why this is happening? But, after that I feel bad for my family, because they are not connected to this world.
He further says, ‘Since I am from this industry, I have seen that nothing matters and you just need to focus on your work. But sometimes the family is affected. This is the only thing that worries me sometimes. Apart from this, it doesn’t matter. Let us tell you that the film ‘Dostana 2’ is a sequel to Karan’s 2008 film ‘Dostana’. Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham played lead roles in this film.
