Harish Rawat promised to take action against hate speech if voted to power

Dehradun, 20/1: Harish Rawat is constantly in the headlines during the Uttarakhand assembly elections. During the last 24 hours, Harish Rawat also remained in the news due to some of his statements. The biggest announcement among them was that if the Congress government is formed after the 2022 elections, then action will be taken against the culprits in the hate speech case in Haridwar. Apart from this, Rawat remained in the headlines for many reasons, be it the matter of Harak Singh Rawat’s return to Congress or the discussion of Rawat contesting from Didihat. Bishan Singh Chufal, a minister in the BJP government, could not stop himself from taking a jibe at the discussion of Rawat contesting the election.Recently, those videos related to the organization of Dharma Sansad in Haridwar had gone viral, in which hate speeches were given towards a community. After the intervention of the big courts in this case, some people like Yeti Narasimhanand and Jitendra Narayan alias Waseem Rizvi have been arrested in the past, but the allegations are that the pace of action is very slow. Giving a big statement on this matter, Harish Rawat said in an interview that strict action will be taken as soon as Congress forms the government. Not only this, Rawat denied discord in Congress and claimed that Congress is going to register victory in Uttarakhand elections.

 

 

 

‘Rawat has no clue of political future’

On Wednesday, quoting sources, there were reports that the Congress high command has indicated that Harish Rawat will contest from one seat. After this discussion started that Rawat would contest from Didihat assembly constituency of Pithoragarh district. On these discussions, Bishan Singh Chufal, who is a frequent MLA from here, said that Rawat is unable to decide his political future, so sometimes he talks about contesting from Ramnagar, sometimes from Didihat, and sometimes not even contesting elections.
