The Iyer problem:Venkatesh Or Shreyash..which India team need

Kolkata, 17/2: Team India is leading 1-0 in the three-match T20 series. The second match of the series is to be held tomorrow i.e. on February 18. In this match too, it is difficult for senior Iyer i.e. Shreyas Iyer to get a chance. Recently, the IPL team KKR has made him its captain. Captain Rohit Sharma said after winning the first T20 that a player like Shreyas Iyer has to sit out. It is very difficult, but this decision was taken according to the need of the team. We need an all-rounder in the middle order. We have told Shreyas that the team needs an all-rounder before the World Cup. That is, Iyer will now have to try his hand as a bowler, only then he will be able to fit in the team’s playing-11. Junior Iyer i.e. Venkatesh Iyer is also batting well apart from bowling fast.

The West Indies team has not been able to perform well in the three ODIs and the first T20 on the tour so far. The team captained by Kieron Pollard will be expected to challenge India in the remaining matches in their favorite T20 format. The team has come here after defeating England 3-2 in the T20 series. India registered an easy 6-wicket win in the first T20 on Wednesday. If India wins the current series, then after being appointed as the regular captain, the team led by Rohit Sharma will win the third series in a row.

Kohli came in 4 innings, could not score 20 runs

The only concern of the team is the form of former captain Virat Kohli. He has so far scored 8, 18, 0 and 17 runs in 4 innings against West Indies and the team will expect a big innings from him. Rohit Sharma scored 40 runs in 19 balls in the first T20. During this, he scored 22 runs in an over of Odeon Smith. However, Ishan Kishan did not look in the rhythm and he had to struggle to score runs. Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer gave the team a thrilling victory after the fall of 4 wickets. In such a situation, there is little hope of change in the top-6.
