New Delhi, 21/3: In the midst of increasing cases of corona in some countries of the world, the Government of India is considering giving a booster dose of the vaccine to the adult population of the country. The news agency Reuters has given this information on Monday, quoting close sources. For this, it is being considered to increase the availability of vaccine doses. Sources have also said that the government has not yet decided whether the booster dose will be free or not.

 

The government is considering the booster dose of Covid-19 vaccine at a time when the cases of corona virus infection are increasing continuously globally. Countries of Southeast Asia including China and Europe are included in this. Till now, only frontline workers and citizens above 60 years of age are eligible for the booster dose of corona vaccine in India.

 

 

At the same time, the government has approved the vaccination of children in the age group of 12-14 years. The government has taken this decision a few weeks after the school opened in many states. On Monday, 1549 cases of Kovid-19 have been registered in India. At the same time, there has been a sharp jump in the cases of corona epidemic in some countries of the world.

 

 

Apart from this, 180.80 crore doses of corona vaccine have been distributed in India so far. At the same time, about 2.17 crore doses of the vaccine have been applied to the eligible population. At the same time, preparations are on to give booster doses of Covid vaccine to citizens in America and Europe.
