Indian Navy HADR Team De-inducts from Puri on Successful Completion of Flood Relief operations

Chilika, 27/8: The Indian Navy Flood Relief team deployed under the aegis of NOIC(Odisha) at Talada Panchayat, Astaranga Block of Puri District de-inducted on completion of their five-day relief operations and returned to INS Chilka on 26 Aug 22.

 

The 40-member team commenced flood relief operations on 22 Aug 22 to provide succour to the affected people and augmented the relief efforts of the State Government.

 

The Community Kitchen set up by the team provided nearly 5600 cooked meals for about 800 affected personnel of the Panchayat. The team also distributed 400 dry provision packets and 650 clothing packets to the affected people. Besides this, a medical camp was also organised which rendered medical relief to 320 people.

 

The Sarpanch and other members of Talada Panchayat thanked Indian Navy for their timely support and help.
