Chilka, ,10/2: Banpur police has arrested an accused for allegedly raping a married woman. As per the information, the accused Prakash Nayak, 24 of Pratap village forcibly raped a married woman of Banpur police station area and uploaded her objectionable photos on social media and made them viral .
In this context , the woman,yesterday lodged a written complaint at Banpur police station . Immediately a team headed by IIC Jay Prakash Parida raided various places and arrested the accused from a specific area last night.
In this connection Banpur PS case no 65/23 U/S- 376(2)(n)/506 IPC/66(E)/67/67(A) IT Act has been registered against the accused and he has been forwarded to the hon’ble court of JMFC,Banpur.
