Karnataka Exit Poll: Most Exit Poll predicts slight edge to Congress

Bangalore, 10/5: After high-pitch campaigning and end of intense voting in Karnataka, several pollsters have declared their exit polls predictions based for Karnataka Assembly elections. As per most exit polls prediction, the southern state is likely to witness a hung assembly once again. In situation of a hung house the the HD Kumaraswamy-led Janata Dal Secular may become the kingmaker.

 

Three exit polls — India Today-Axis My India, News 24-Today’s Chanakya and Times-Now ETG — have predicted that Congress may cross the majority mark of 113. India TV-CNX and Zee News-Matrize have given an upper limit exceeding 113 to the Congress. While News Nation-CGS predicted a BJP victory, and Suvarna News-Jan Ki Baat predicted an upper limit of 117 for the BJP.

 

In a health warning, it is important to say that exit poll predictions often get wrong.

 

The counting of the votes for all 224 seats in Karnataka Legislative Assembly will take place on May 13. However, the result of the Karnataka election exit poll conducted by several news channels and agencies will start trickling in just after the end of voting at 6 pm.

 

The majority mark to form the government in Karnataka is 113 seats. Some constituencies which will make a major impact in the polls are Kanakapura, Shiggaon, Hubli-Darwad, Channapatna, Chaittapur, Ramanagara, Varuna and Chikamagalu
