Large Scale Theft At Banpur 

Chilika, 9/12: A large-scale theft has been allegedly took place in the Banpur police station area. According to information, miscreants have looted lakhs of rupees and jewels from the house of Balabhadra Sahu of Lahangadiha village late on Friday night. The police have started an investigation after receiving a complaint from him.

 

According to Balabhadra’s complaint, as his son’s marriage was approaching, he kept gold ornaments and cash in his house. Late last night, miscreants entered his house through the back side and looted the said jewelery and cash.After knowing this, Balabhadra reported to the police station this morning.

 

However, Balabhadra is said to have complained that the total value of the theft was Rs 12 lakh.A scientific team including Banpur IIC Ramesh Kumar Debata and search dogs have reached the spot and are continuing the investigation from various aspects.
