Bihar Govt plans to make state beggar-free by 2021

Patna, 22/12: In a recent development, the Bihar government led by Chief Minister  Nitish Kumar has been planning to make the entire state beggar-free by 2021. They are planning to do so by providing employment to beggars in the state by encouraging them to quit begging and become entrepreneurs and endorsers for state government projects under the Bhikshavriti Nivaran Yojana.

This project of making Bihar  ‘beggar-free’ is being undertaken in 12 districts – Patna, Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Darbhanga, Purnia, Gaya, Rohtas, Bhagalpur, Katrina, Araria, Vaishali, and Chhapra.
