Rourkela, 6/1 (AO Bureau): In a tragic turn of events, after a gas leak in the Rourkela Steel plant, two people died and other 8 people fell sick. This unfortunate incident happened in the Coal Chemical Department of the Rourkela Steel Plant. A total of 10 workers engaged at the plant contractually by a private construction company. They all were affected by the poisonous Carbon Monoxide gas leak.
6 workers were admitted to the RSP dispensary, four workers, identified as Babu Panda, Abhimanyu Saha, Rabi Sahu, and Ganesh Pylo, were admitted to the ICU of the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) as their condition deteriorated.
