Supreme Court Postponed the hearing of Farmer’s proposed tractor rally on Republic Day

New Delhi, 18/1 (AO Bureau): The hearing in the Supreme Court on the matter of farmers’ tractor rally in Delhi on 26 January was postponed today. During the hearing, the Supreme Court said that the government should take a decision on it first. Chief Justice SA Bobde said that the matter is of the police, we will not make a decision on it. We are currently postponing the case. Now the matter will be heard the day after tomorrow.
The court has indicated that the administration should make a decision on the subject of farmers coming to Delhi first. Actually, the Chief Justice was sitting with two different judges during the hearing today. With the hearing commenced, the Chief Justice said that we will conduct the hearing on the same bench that heard the case first. The Chief Justice said that our intervention has been misunderstood. During the hearing in the court, BKU Lokshakti’s lawyer AP Singh first argued. AP Singh said that we should be allowed to sit in Ramlila Maidan in peace. Chief Justice told the Attorney General of the Central Government that the Supreme Court needs to tell the government that you have power under the law.
