Former AIADMK leader VK Sasikala released from Jail

Bengaluru, 27/1 (AO Bureau): VK Sasikala, the expelled leader of AIADMK, was released after completing four years of imprisonment in a case related to property. Jail officials gave this information. However, treatment of coronavirus-infected Sasikala with Kovid-19 will continue. Sasikala was confirmed to have been infected on January 20 and is currently at the Kovid-19 Center in Victoria Hospital. It is not clear yet when he will be discharged from the hospital.

Bangalore Medical College said in a statement that Sasikala has been officially released at 11 am today. He was transferred to Victoria Hospital on 21 January. According to the protocol, if he will be discharged on the 10th day. He has not been on oxygen support for the last three days.

Formalities were also completed – Lawyer
Sasikala’s lawyer Raja Sainthur Pandian said that all formalities have been completed. He is free from all legal formalities. She will remain in the hospital according to Medical Advice.
In September 2013, a special court sentenced Jayalalithaa to four years of simple imprisonment. He had to leave the post of CM, paying a fine of Rs 100 crore. Along with them, three other accused Sasikala, VN Sudhakaran, and Ilavarasi were also convicted. A fine of Rs 10 crore was imposed on all.
