TRS MLAs protest against the non-inclusion of local players in SRH team

Hyderabad, 22/2 (AO Bureau)After the auction for IPL 2021, the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise is facing criticism for ignoring local players. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA and former minister Danam Nagendra even threatened the management for not being a local player in the Hyderabad team. He said that Hyderabad players should be selected in Sunrisers, otherwise the franchise should remove Hyderabad from its name.

He further said that if the players of Hyderabad do not take the franchise into the team. So whenever IPL matches are held in Hyderabad, he and his supporters will oppose it. Nagendra says that other teams of the IPL have players from their respective states. But despite having many talented players in Hyderabad, not a single franchise was taken. In the selection process too, there were many wrongs, which we condemn. Only Mohammad Siraj has left for the IPL from here. While there have been many such players who have been successful in making their mark in the Under-19 tournament along with Ranji Trophy. If he had a chance in the league, he could prove his ability in that too. Sunrisers team management should not ignore them.

TRS MLA furious over Warner as captain
The TRS MLA did not stop, he also expressed displeasure at Warner being the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad. He said that the current captain of Sunrisers has been involved in the case of ball-tampering on Warner. In such a situation, we are against Warner taking command of the Hyderabad team.
Sunrisers won IPL in 2016 under Warner’s captaincy
