England Bowled out for 112 against India

Ahmedabad, 24/2 (AO Bureau) India bowled England out for just 112 runs in the third Test match being played at Motera in Ahmedabad. England won the toss and came to bat first, losing their last 8 wickets by adding only 38 runs. Indian spinners were instrumental in making England’s worst. Left-arm spinner Axar Patel took 6 wickets and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets. One wicket went to the account of fast bowler Ishant Sharma, who is playing his 100th Test match.

This is the first time in 7 years that England has been bowled out for less than 200 runs in 3 consecutive innings. The visiting team was earlier bowled out for 134 and 164 in the second Test match played in Chennai. England team lost their last 7 wickets in Motera Test by adding only 32 runs.

The day-night Test match between India and England started in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Ishant Sharma, playing his 100th Test match, gave India a great start by dismissing Dom Sibley (0) in the third over. Johnny Bairstow, who came to bat at number three, could not even open an account. He was dismissed by Akshar Patel.
