PM Modi on Wednesday discussed the importance of education, research and skill development to make the country self-sufficient (Atmanirbhar Bharat). During this time, PM Modi explained the importance of confidence in the youth. Modi said, ‘Confidence comes only when he realizes that his studies, the opportunity to do his work, and the necessary skills are being given to him. The new National Education Policy is designed with this thinking in mind.

Old thought will have to be left behind
The PM said that we will have to leave the old thinking behind now. In the 21st century India, the thinking of the 19th century will have to be left behind and move forward. In higher institutions, the focus is on startups along with research. Three supercomputers have been installed in the country. This year, supercomputers will be installed in 12 institutes. Content has to be prepared in Indian languages from primary to higher education. The talent of poor children should not be allowed to die due to language.
