Central Govt in tension over increasing spread of Coronavirus

New Delhi, 11/3 (AO Bureau)The rising pace of Corona in many states of the country has brought wrinkle on the forehead of the Center. The Union Health Ministry has said that more than 1 lakh active cases are increasing tension in Maharashtra. The ministry said that Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Haryana are also being monitored. The ministry has held three meetings with these states and has been asked to keep a close watch on the situation.

NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul said that he is worried about the new cases of growing corona in Maharashtra. This gives us two lessons, first – do not be careless about the virus. Second, we have to follow the guidelines of Covid right now. ICMR DG Dr. Balaram Bhargava said that the worst trend is being seen in Maharashtra. He said that the effect of the new virus of Corona found here is not visible, but the lack of testing and negligence of Covid Guidelines on a large scale. The central government also said that there is no shortage of corona vaccines in any state.

Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu are continuously receiving more cases of Covid-19 and these six states accounted for 85.91 percent of the total cases reported in the country in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, 22,854 cases of Covid-19 were reported in the country. According to Central Health, the maximum number of 13,659 cases (about 60 percent of the total cases in the country) is from Maharashtra. After this, cases have been reported from Kerala (2,475) and Punjab (1,393). Presently 1,89,226 patients are undergoing treatment in India, which is 1.68 percent of the total cases.
