Ratnagiro, 20/3 (AO Bureau)Three people were killed and 1 was seriously injured in an explosion in a chemical factory in an industrial area in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra. According to the information received, a major explosion occurred in a chemical company at Lotte MIDC in Khed in Ratnagiri district. 4 workers were killed in the blast. The injured workers have been sent to the hospital.
According to the information received, the incident took place at Gharda Chemical Company in Lotte MIDC. There was a sudden explosion in the Gharda Company at around 9 am on Saturday. The explosion was fast. Three workers were killed in the blast. The death toll is expected to increase. According to our associate institute News18 Lokmat, three others were injured in the blast and were taken to the nearest hospital.
Police and fire brigade have reached the spot as soon as they get information about the incident. This is the second event at Lotte MIDC this week.
