Huge setback for India , Shreyas Iyer ruled out of ODI series

Pune, 24/3 (AO Bureau):The Indian team has won the first match of the three ODI series against England. India won the first match by a margin of 66 runs and now their eyes are on winning the second match and also occupying the ODI series after the Test and T20. The second ODI match will be played between the two on 26 March, but before this, Team India has suffered a big setback. Number four batsman Shreyas Iyer is out of the remaining two matches. In the first match, Iyer fell on his left shoulder in the eye of England’s opening batsman Johnny Bairstow to stop the shot, which caused his shoulder to slip. He had gone out of the ground at that time groaning with pain.

Iyer is not only ruled out of the last two ODIs, but he might not be able to play even the first few matches for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021. Iyer, the captain of Delhi Capitals, may need surgery and if this happens, he may be away from the field for about two months.
