Restriction on festivals in April

Bhubaneswar, 26/3 (AO Bureau)Coronavirus infection is on the rise in the state. Even today, the number of positives has exceeded 200, and the administration is worried. Meanwhile, public holidays have been cut in the state. In April, the SRC imposed sanctions on religious and cultural festivals. Good Friday, Easter, Pana Sankranti, Jhamuyatra are forbidden. The state government has also imposed a curfew on Ramnabami.

The SRC has banned religious and cultural gatherings for Covid. Gods can be worshiped in religious places with limited people. There are restrictions on public celebrations. The local administration will decide based on the situation. Violation of the order will result in severe action, the SRC said
