PM Modi offered prayers at Jeshoreswari Kali temple in Bangladesh

Dhaka, 27/3(AO Bureau)  On the second day of the Bangladesh  tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Saturday) offered prayers at the ancient Jeshoreswari Kali temple at Satkhira on Saturday morning. This temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths of Maa Durga. During the visit of Mother Kali, Prime Minister Modi also offered a crown. This silver crown has been specially prepared after three weeks of hard work. This crown is gilded with gold.

After visiting the temple, Prime Minister Modi said, “I have heard that when a fair of worship of mother Kali is held here, a large number of devotees also come here from across the border.” There is a need to build a community hall here. PM Modi said that this should be a multipurpose hall so that when people come for Kali Puja, this hall will also be used by them. Not only this, in times of disaster, especially during the cyclone, this community hall should become a place of shelter for all.
