Congress candidates lost their deposits where Rahul Gandhi campaigned in West bengal

Kolkatta, 3/5 (AO Bureau):In West Bengal (West Begnal Assembly Election 2021), only one seat has come in the account of the Third Front. His fall can be gauged from the fact that 85 percent of his candidates could not save their bail. Not only this, in the two seats where Congress leader Rahul Gandhi rallied, there was no respect for the party.

An analysis  shows that the candidates of the Third Front were able to save bail in only 42 seats in the election. The Indian Secular Front (ISF), a member of the Third Front which contested all 292 seats, fared better than the other two allies Congress and the Left. The Congress and the Left do not have a single seat now.

What would be more embarrassing for the Congress that it lost badly in those two seats – Matigara-Naxalbari and Goalpokhar – where Rahul Gandhi held rallies on 14 April. The candidates there too could not save their bail. The Congress had held the Matigara-Naxalbari for a decade, but the sitting MLA Shankar Malakar finished third with only 9% votes. In Goalpokhar, the Congress candidate came third with only 12% votes. From the year 2006 to the year 2009 and again from the year 2011 to 2016, there was a Congress MLA from this seat.

Different analysis of the three teams
If you analyze the three allies separately, the leftist will be able to save their bail on only 21 seats out of 170 seats. In 11 of the 90 seats, the bail of the Congress candidates was saved and in 10 of the 30 seats, the security of the candidates of the ISF remained. The ISF won one seat and came second in four. In all four constituencies, the ISF pushed the BJP to number three. This shows that the new party of Maulvi Abbas Siddiqui of Furfura Sharif in the Third Front was the center of attraction for the people.
