RLD Chief Ajit Singh passes away

New Delhi, 6/5,(Ao bureau): The demise of popular farmer leader Ajit Singh of the Rashtriya Lok Dal is an irreparable loss to the politics of the country. 82-year-old Ajit Singh breathed his last in a private hospital in Gurugram at around 6 am on Thursday. Ajit Singh Corona was infected on 22 April. According to doctors, he died due to a lung infection. On the death of Ajit Singh, many big leaders including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have paid tribute to him.

Ajit Singh, son of former Prime Minister late Chaudhary Charan Singh, was born in Meerut. However, he started his political career as a Rajya Sabha MP in 1986 after his father became ill. After this, he won the Lok Sabha elections from Baghpat seven times. He was also a Union Minister in VP Singh, Narasimha Rao, Atal Bihari Bajpayee and Manmohan Sarkar.
