Don’t repeat RT-PCR test after being tested positive

New Delhi, 11/5 (AO Bureau):The central government has issued new instructions regarding Corona Testing. ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava said on Tuesday that there is no need to test healthy people traveling from one state to another. Along with this, Bhargava said that those who have been infected with Corona virus, there is no need to do RTPCR test again. Bhargava said that Rapid Antigen Test is exempted in government and private facilities. No approval is required for this. Bhargava said that alternative ways of testing at home are being found.

Bhargava said that the positivity rate in the country is close to around 21%, there are 310 districts in the country in which the positivity rate is higher than the average positivity rate of the country whereas on April 30, 2021, 19,45,299 tests were done in the country. Which is the highest in the whole world. Giving information about active cases, the Health Ministry said that there are 13 states in the country where there are more than 1 lakh active cases. The number of active cases remains between 50,000 and 1 lakh in 6 states. There are 17 states where there are less than 50,000 active cases.

 

Cases falling in these states
While giving information about the decreasing corona cases in some states of the country, the Health Ministry said that new cases in Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Telangana, Chandigarh, Ladakh, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar have continued to decrease every day. Has been Along with this, new Kovid-19 cases are decreasing daily in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Gujarat.

Health Ministry said new cases are increasing daily in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Odisha, Punjab, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
