UAE may host T20 world cup this year

Mumbai, 20/5(Ao bureau)This year the T20 World Cup to be held in India can be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Last year too, the IPL was organized in the UAE due to the Corona epidemic. This is why the UAE has emerged as an option and the ICC will take a decision on June 1. Before the ICC’s final decision, the BCCI will assess the state of the corona epidemic in India. Apart from this, the BCCI will also have to discuss with the nine state cricket associations which have been hosted. Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Dharamshala and Lucknow were selected to host the T20 World Cup in the BCCI meeting held last month.

 

BCCI is going to have a special general meeting on 29 May. The BCCI has called the meeting because the ICC meeting is to be held on June 1. The T20 World Cup is to be held in India in October-November. In this context, this meeting is considered to be important. Already the T20 World Cup has been postponed for a year. Many old stalwarts have raised objections to the T20 World Cup between Corona in India. According to the news published in Hindustan Times, a BCCI official said that there is time for the World Cup to happen and we will not stop the option of having it in India. There was a possibility of the World Cup being held in India without spectators and in limited venues, but BCCI officials admitted that the IPL suspension has weakened it
