Mamta’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee became the national general secretary of TMC

Kolkatta, 5/6 (Ao Bureau): The TMC, which won a landslide victory in the West Bengal Assembly Election 2021, had a big meeting on Saturday. In the meeting, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee has been made the national general secretary of the party. Sayoni Ghosh has been given the responsibility of TMC Youth Congress. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also attended the meeting. Giving information from its Twitter handle, TMC said that the party has taken some new steps to strengthen the organization. The policy of one man one post will be implemented in the party from now on. TMC is determined to serve the people of India and this party is the biggest priority.
Please tell that Abhishek Banerjee is the son of Amit Banerjee, brother of Mamata Banerjee and has been a Lok Sabha MP from Diamond Harbor seat since 2014. Abhishek Banerjee played an important role for the party in the 2021 assembly elections and was one of the main characters of the TMC’s election campaign against the BJP. Earlier on Friday, it was reported that a strategy is likely to be chalked out to counter the “vendetta politics of the BJP’s central leadership” after the Trinamool Congress’s landslide victory in the recently concluded assembly elections in West Bengal.
A senior TMC leader said on Friday that the party would focus on a strategy to counter the vindictive attitude of the BJP-led Centre. He claimed that the central leadership of the BJP is engaged in harassing the democratically elected Mamata Banerjee government. All senior TMC leaders including Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Subrata Bakshi, Saugata Roy, Shobhandeb Chattopadhyay, Mahua Moitra and party’s youth wing chief Abhishek Banerjee as well as party’s campaign advisor Prashant Kishor were said to attend the meeting.
