Is Covishield one dose enough?

New Delhi, 8/6 (Ao Bureau):A massive vaccination campaign is going on across the country to protect against Coronavirus. At present, two vaccines are being administered to people in India, Covishield and two doses of Covaxin. Meanwhile, a few days ago, a debate broke out on social media about giving a dose of Covishield. After this, NITI Aayog member VK Paul has clarified that no change has been made in the dosage of Kovishield. Only two doses will be given.

In fact, the head of Britain’s Vaccine Task Force, Kat Bingham, made a statement last year that a single-dose vaccine may be enough to protect against the Kovid 19 epidemic. After this, this year the scientist of Johnson & Johnson also claimed that a single dose of their vaccine can protect against corona. In such a situation, there was a debate in India as to whether a single dose of Kovishield is enough. According to media reports, Professor Andrew J Pollard, director of Oxford’s Vaccine Group, says that in the early stages, Covishield was being seen as a single-dose vaccine. Actually, Serum Institute of India is making Covishield in collaboration with Oxford.
