Kolkata, 10/6(Ao Bureau): In a sad piece of news Bengali filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta breathed his last at the age of 77 this morning, June 10, of age-related complications. He was in his South Kolkata residence when he breathed his last.
As per reports, Buddhadeb Dasgupta was ill and was on dialysis for a while. He had also been suffering from kidney disease. He died in his sleep at 8 in the morning.
Filmmaker Raj Chakraborty was one of the first ones to condole the death of the veteran director. Raj took to Twitter and write, “Recipient of numerous National and International honours, legendary filmmaker and renowned poet, #BuddhadebDasgupta has passed away. Sincere condolences to his family and friends (sic)
