Oxygen audit: Kejriwal government demanded 4 times of required oxygen cylinder

New Delhi, 25/6 (Ao Bureau):The report of the Oxygen Audit Team constituted by the Supreme Court has raised serious questions on the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi. The report of the audit team has put the Delhi government in the dock regarding the oxygen supply. Actually, the second wave of corona virus was at its peak between 25 April and 10 May in the national capital Delhi. The audit team constituted by the apex court found in the investigation that during that time the Delhi government had demanded four times more oxygen than required. The committee has informed the Supreme Court that according to the demand, Delhi was supplied with additional oxygen. Due to this the supply was affected in 12 states.

 

According to sources, the audit team has said in its report that according to the bed capacity in Delhi, 289 MT of oxygen was required, while 1,140 MT of oxygen was demanded by the Delhi government. The audit committee has said in its report that they demanded more oxygen than Delhi needed. While Delhi was getting more oxygen than required on one hand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh were battling badly due to lack of oxygen.
