Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh met Sonia Gandhi

Chandigarh, 6/7 (AO Bureau):Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh arrived in Delhi on Tuesday to meet Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi. After the meeting, Captain Amarinder said- ‘I do not want to make any comment about Sidhu. I came here to strengthen the party organization. After the meeting, the Captain may have refused to comment, but it is believed that after this meeting, the political turmoil in the Punjab Congress may yield some result. A few days ago, Navjot Singh Sidhu has also returned to Delhi after meeting with Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi.

It is believed that in these meetings, an attempt was made by the Congress high command to persuade Sidhu with an offer of respectable position in the party or organization. In recent times, Sidhu has been repeatedly insisting that he cannot work with the Chief Minister. In recent weeks, Sidhu and some other Punjab Congress leaders have opened a front against Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. Sidhu says that till now no action has been taken in the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and effective steps have not been taken to curb corruption.
