Maharashtra rain: Trains suspended for heavy rain and landslide

Mumbai,22/7: Heavy rain has been falling in some parts of Maharashtra for the last several days. Due to this water logging is affecting the road traffic as well as rail traffic. There have also been reports of landslides in Kasara Ghat of Maharashtra due to heavy rains. Due to this landslide and heavy rains, the connectivity of Mumbai Trains with some states including Nashik and UP-Bihar has been broken. Actually, trains from Mumbai go to UP-Bihar and other states through this rail line.

 

It has been informed from the Konkan section of the railway that the water level has increased due to heavy rains on the bridge built on the river Vashisthi between Chiplun and Kamathe railway stations. It comes under Ratnagiri section. Due to this, in view of the danger, the operation of passenger trains on this line has been temporarily stopped
