Kamalpreet enters final..Keeps medal hope alive

Tokyo,31/7:In the discus throw qualification group B, Kamalpreet Kaur has made a place in the final with a tremendous performance. He threw 60.29 meters in the first attempt, while the disc threw 63.97 meters in the second attempt. In the third attempt, he secured the final quota with 64 meters. However, Seema Poonia could not make it to the final. She could reach only 60.57 meters. In this way, India’s medal hope in athletics remains. The final of women’s discus throw is to be held on August 2. Kamalpreet Kaur finished second overall in Group B. Valari Allman of America took the first place with 66.42m.
