Tripura,2/8: Trinamool Congress (TMC) National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee will visit the state on Monday as part of the connectivity campaign in Tripura. In view of his visit, TMC has put up many posters in the names of Abhishek Banerjee and Mamta Banerjee on the streets of Tripura. On the other hand, TMC leader in Tripura Ashish Lal Singh says that on the way from the airport to Gorkha Basti, many posters were damaged on Sunday night. The party will register its protest regarding this.
Abhishek Banerjee’s visit comes days after a controversy erupted in a hotel room in Agartala over election strategist Prashant Kishor’s I-Pac team being placed under house arrest by police, citing COVID-19 restrictions. On Monday morning, two other TMC leaders Bratyo Basu and Malloy Ghatak will also visit Tripura. He will also be accompanied by Ritubrata Bhattacharya.
Abhishek Banerjee will begin his trip to Tripura on Monday by offering prayers at the famous Mathabari temple. After this he will take part in a meeting of the party. In which he will meet local leaders and take booth level report. During this, he will also give instructions to the local leaders. There may be a new organizational establishment of the party in Tripura. In such a situation, Abhishek Banerjee will also give a strong message to Tripura BJP.
