The party has given ticket to former MLA Anugrah Narayan Singh from here. Anugrah Narayan Singh has been MLA from this seat four times. He was also in charge of Uttarakhand till a few days ago. He is counted among the very close friends of Rahul Gandhi.

The announcement of the nomination of Anugrah Narayan Singh from the city northern seat of Prayagraj was made by the party’s national secretary and co-in-charge of UP, Bajirao Khande, in the workers’ conference organized here today. He told that the party had taken a decision a few days back to field leaders with a strong support base in about four dozen seats. State President Ajay Kumar Lallu and Legislature Party leader Aradhana Mishra Mona’s name are also included in such leaders. Like Prayagraj, the names of the candidates will be announced among the workers in the rest of the seats.
