Drugs case: NCB sends whatsapp chat record to court

Mumbai, 13/10:A long debate took place today on the bail pleas of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha and others arrested in the cruise drugs case. After hearing both the sides, the court adjourned the hearing till Thursday. During the hearing, Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, appearing for NCB, made a sensational claim. He said in the court that Aryan Khan told in his voluntary statement that he has been consuming drugs for a long time.

Anil Singh argued that if even one of the accused is released on bail, the investigation will be hampered. He told the court that the WhatsApp chats of the accused (Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant) contained large quantities of drugs and conversations of a foreign national.

Singh argued, “The whole country is concerned about drug smuggling and its consumption is a serious crime. Parties are organized day and night and people take drugs, including college going students.

Aryan Khan’s lawyer claims

Senior advocate Amit Desai, appearing for Aryan Khan, said that I (Aryan Khan) had received an invitation on the cruise ship, I accepted that invitation. This invitation was from a person named Prateek Gaba who has not been arrested nor is he an accused in this case. I had arrived on the cruise with another person (Arbaaz). I was stopped by the NCB before going on the cruise as mentioned in the Panchnama.

Amit Desai said that 6 grams of charas was found from Arbaaz Merchant, but the names of both were added to it. Nothing was found from Aryan Khan, this thing is also written in the Panchnama. On the basis of the information received, you can see that nothing was found with Aryan Khan. Neither did he use it, nor did he have drugs, nor did he get money from him, which means he did not even sell it.
