Reliance Buys trademark right for Lee Cooper In India

Mumbai, 27/10:Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has taken another step in the fashion world after partnering with Manish Malhotra and Ritu Kumar. Now Iconix Lifestyle India Pvt Ltd, a joint venture of Reliance Brands Limited, a subsidiary of RIL, has acquired India’s trademark rights for British denim brand Lee Cooper. Let us tell you that the Lee Cooper brand, which started in 1908, has 7,000 stores in 126 countries of the world. Not only this, the brand has more than 20 lakh social followers.

Started by making denim for workers
British brand Lee Cooper offers a range of Denim (Multi-Category Denim) for both men and women. Lee Cooper started from a factory in East London. Initially, Lee Cooper used to make denim for the workers. After this, in the First and Second World War (World War 1 & 2), it used to make uniforms (Troops Uniform) for British soldiers. Then the company shifted from the military in 1945 to focus on fashion and denim. After this, it has been more than 100 years for Lee Cooper working as a fashion brand around the world. Now it has become a global fashion brand.
