Mamata Banerjee allegedly insults national song

Mumbai, 2/12: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who arrived in Mumbai, has been accused of insulting the national anthem. A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader has lodged a police complaint against him. Allegations have been made that CM Banerjee sat and sang the national anthem. Apart from this, Bengal BJP also targeted Banerjee on this issue on Wednesday. CM has reached Maharashtra on a three-day tour. During this he met with leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena.

 

According to news agency ANI, a Mumbai BJP leader has leveled allegations against CM Banerjee for allegedly insulting the national anthem by singing while sitting and ‘stopping after 4 or 5 verses’. According to the agency, during a press conference in Mumbai on Wednesday, Banerjee did not complete the national anthem and sat down in the middle. Within minutes of this conference, many politicians had opposed this behavior of the CM.

 

 

 

Maharashtra BJP leader Prateek Karpe tweeted, ‘Isn’t this an insult to the national anthem? When CM Mamata Banerjee sat down and started the national anthem, what were the alleged intellectuals present there doing. He alleged that the CM had suddenly stopped in the middle. BJP leader Amit Malviya tweeted, ‘Our national anthem is a powerful display of our national identity. The least that those holding public office can do is not to insult it…’

 

 

The Trinamool Congress supremo on Wednesday targeted the Congress in gestures after meeting NCP chief Sharad Pawar. Talking to reporters after the meeting, he said, “A strong choice has to be made, as no one is fighting against the ongoing fascism.” Sharad ji is the senior most leader and I have come here to discuss about political parties. I agree with whatever Sharad ji said. There is no UPA here.” On Tuesday, Banerjee had met Shiv Sena leaders Sanjay Raut and Aaditya Thackeray.
