Dubai, 21/1: The ICC has released the schedule of the Men’s T20 World Cup to be held in Australia this year (T20 World Cup 2022). Team India will play its first match in the tournament against Pakistan (India vs Pakistan). This match will be played on 23 October at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The T20 World Cup will start from October 16, while the final will be played in Melbourne on November 13. A total of 45 matches will be played in 7 different cities of Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney in the tournament. The 2014 champions Sri Lanka will play the tournament’s opening match against Namibia on 16 October.
The first semi-final of the T20 World Cup will be played in Sydney on 9 November and the second at the Adelaide Oval on 10 November. This will be the first time that the semi-final of the World Cup will be held at the Adelaide Oval. At the same time, the title match of the tournament will be held on November 13, 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This match will be played in floodlights.

India and Pakistan in same group
India have been placed in Group-2 in Super 12 along with Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and two qualifiers. India will play a total of five 5s in the entire tournament. The first against Pakistan on 23 October, the second on 27 October with the runner up of Group A, the third against South Africa on 30 October. Team India’s fourth match will be with Bangladesh on 2 November and 5th on 6 November with the winner of Group B.
