SRH defeats CSK to earn first victory

Mumbai, 9/3: On the strength of Abhishek Sharma’s excellent innings, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets in the seventeenth league match of IPL 2022 (IPL). In the match played on Saturday at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, Sunrisers chased down 155 runs and won by 2 wickets in 17.4 overs. For Hyderabad, Abhishek played the highest innings of 75 runs. He hit 5 fours and 3 sixes in 50 balls. Rahul Tripathi returned unbeaten on 39 while Nicholas Pooran scored 5 not out.

 

Chasing the target of 155 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a great start by captain Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma. Both shared 89 runs for the first wicket. Kane Williamson was caught by Mukesh Chaudhary at the hands of Moeen Ali and gave the first blow to Hyderabad. Williamson was dismissed for 32 runs off 40 balls. He hit 2 fours and a six during this.
