Mallikarjun Kharge to file nomination for Congress presidential election today; Digvijaya Singh may back out

New Delhi, 30/9: Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge will file nomination for Congress president election on Friday afternoon, setting the stage for an electoral battle for supremacy in the party with senior party leader Shashi Tharoor.

A third candidate Digvijaya Singh is also likely to file nominations though indications have emerged that he may not be in the race finally, which would be make the contest a direct one
