Prof. Binayak Hota, HOD of Zoology, took charge as the new Principal of Godavarish Mahavidyalaya in Banpur on today . He took charge from the in-charge Principal Dr. SPNS Burma in presence of college G.B President, Bijaya Bandana Rautray .
However, while Godavarish Mahavidyalaya is a reputed college in Odisha, now it is going through various problems. There are many challenges such as ‘NAAC’ visit to the college, government and autonomous status , opening of +3 commerce steam and education department for many years, but due to the lack of the will power of the college administration, it cannot be fulfilled till date.
On the other hand, institution is also going to celebrate its diamond jubilee next year. However, since the new Principal is a local resident and also alumni of the said educational institution, the local residents have expressed hope that he will work towards resolving the said issues of the college.
