SP gives ultimatum to Congress on seat sharing, says it will go solo if offer of 17 seats not accepted

Lucknow, 20/2: The electoral alliance between Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls appeared to be on the brink after the latter threatened to walk out of the alliance if the grand old party refused to accept its final offer of 17 seats.

According to the SP sources here on Tuesday, Congress had not yet replied to the offer and that the continuance of the alliance would depend on whether the offer of 17 seats was accepted.
