Mock Drill at Talcher Thermal Power Project Highlights Effective Rescue Operations and Collaborative Response

Talcher ; To promote effective disaster management, a mock drill was conducted at NTPC Talcher Thermal Power Project on March 18, 2024. The drill was meticulously coordinated among the Combat, Rescue, and Auxiliary teams. Additionally, members of the Mutual Aid Scheme including Nalco Smelter & CPP, NTPC Talcher Kaniha, Talcher Fertilizer Limited, and Heavy Water Plant actively participated with their fire tenders and ambulances.

The drill concluded successfully under the observation of Dy. Director (Factories and Boilers) Angul Division and Assistant Director (Factories and Boiler Angul Division Zone 1). A debriefing session followed,during which Dy. Director (Factories and Boilers), Shri Ramesh Chandra Behera, commended the teamwork of NTPC Talcher Thermal in effectively concluding the drill. Observers from Nalco Smelter & CPP, Talcher Fertilizer, and Heavy Water shared their insights,lauding the collaborative efforts of NTPC Talcher Thermal.

Key personnel including HOP In charge, GM (Projects), DC CISF, AGM (Safety), DGM (Safety), and other team members actively participated in the drill. Utilization of drones enhanced search and rescue operationswhile providing comprehensive coverage of all mock drill activities.
