Bareilly: Year 2024 is about to end, people are excited and are preparing to welcome the new year. Meanwhile, a fatwa has been issued for Muslims regarding New Year celebrations. The fatwa clearly states that celebrating New Year is haram and a sin, and whoever celebrates it will be a criminal in the eyes of Sharia. The said fatwa has been issued by Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, National President of All India Muslim Jamaat from Bareilly, UP has issued a fatwa for Muslims. He said that celebrating New Year is against Islamic beliefs, because the New Year on January 1 is associated with Christianity. In such a situation, Muslims should stay away from New Year celebrations. Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi has said in the fatwa that celebrating New Year, wishing each other, dancing, sending messages on New Year to each other on mobile, all these are against Islam and are illegal in the eyes of Sharia. The fatwa further tells Muslims that they should not participate in the religious festivals of other people that is the festivals of other religions. Muslims will also have to stop other Muslims from participating in them. If a person does such an un-Sharia act, then he is a serious criminal. Muslims should not do anything against Sharia.
