Nirmala Sitharaman asks more time to revise GST

New Delhi, 4/1 (AO Bureau) Modi government implemented the GST system for the purpose of getting rid of the tax junk on tax. After the implementation of GST across the country from July 1, 2017, several amendments have been made to it. Even after this, due to the complexity of the existing GST system, traders across the country are upset. The merchant organization CAT has termed the current GST system as colonial. CAT said that it wants to step by step to increase the GST tax base and the government’s revenue, but the tax system should be rationalized and simplified.

CAT’s National General Secretary Pravin Khandelwal said that GST, which was promoted and circulated as Good and Service Tax, is actually proving against it. Despite many amendments and changes in the last three and a half years, this tax system is quite complex. This tax system is getting an undue burden on traders. The businessman of the country has sought a time to meet the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to get him to face his problems and difficulties.
