Tamil Nadu, 14/1 (AO Bureau) : Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi visited Tamil Nadu on the occasion of Pongal today. During this time, Rahul Gandhi, who arrived in Madurai, took part in the Jallikattu program in Avanipuram. Rahul Gandhi said that it was a lovely experience to watch Tamil culture. I am happy that Jallikattu is being organized in a systematic and safe manner, in which all are safe and all are being taken care of.
Actually, Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Tamil Nadu is important because assembly elections are due in the state this year. There is a possibility of an alliance between the DMK and the Congress in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections to be held in April-May this year. Recently Rahul Gandhi went abroad on a private tour and he has returned recently. After returning from abroad, he attended a public event for the first time here.
