Republic Day Violence: 43 FIRs have been registered against the culprits

New Delhi, 5/2 (AO Bureau):On January 26, during the tractor march of farmers on the occasion of Republic Day, there was widespread violence in many parts of the country’s capital, Delhi. The miscreants also entered the Red Fort complex. The Center told the Delhi High Court that so far 43 FIRs have been registered in this case. Of these, the responsibility of investigating 13 cases has been assigned to the Special Cell of Delhi Police. In fact, a petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court demanding appropriate action against those responsible for the violence. The petitioner has also demanded to give proper instructions to the Home Ministry and the Delhi Police in this regard.

During the hearing of the case, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the bench of Chief Justice of the High Court Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh about the action taken so far in this regard. Tushar Mehta also told the court about the alleged role of the banned organization Sikh for Justice. He also said that the Special Cell of Delhi Police is taking action in this case under the provisions of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
