CBI reached Abhishek Banerjee’s house

Kolkatta, 21/2 (Ao Bureau): Abhishek Banerjee’s difficulties seem to be increasing ahead of the assembly elections to be held in West Bengal in the next few months. A team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reached the house of Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today. It is reported that a summons has been issued to Abhishek Banerjee in the coal smuggling case.

According to the information, the CBI team reached the residence of Abhishek Banerjee in Kolkata on Sunday, seeking summons for the coal smuggling case. This is the first time that the CBI has taken an action in the coal smuggling case and has issued summons to TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee. It is reported that CBI has summoned Abhishek Banerjee’s wife Rujira Narula and his sister-in-law for questioning.
CBI is continuously raiding the case of illegal mining and the smuggling of coal. In this case, the whereabouts of Jaidev Mandal and the long-running coal mafia Anoop Maji alias Lala were also raided by the CBI a few days ago. During this time, the CBI conducted a search operation in Kolkata, Purulia, Paschim Bardhaman, and Bankura. The CBI conducted searches in the premises of a company named Mandal, Maji, and Amia Steel during the raid operations. Earlier, the CBI had raided the three houses of businessman and young Trinamool Congress leader Vinay Mishra, businessman Amit Singh and Neeraj Singh in the coal smuggling case a few days ago.
