Washington DC, 24/2 (AO Bureau):The veteran navigation app Google Maps keeps adding new features to the app to facilitate its users. Now it has also included the Dark Mode feature. Users can turn this feature on or off whenever they want. The company is rolling out the new dark theme Google Maps feature for users around the world.
Dark mode will have to be activated by going to settings
Users can activate the Dark Mode feature by going to the settings of the Google Maps application. Users have to tap on the theme and then tap on ‘Always in Dark Theme’. To use the app in light mode again, you have to tap on ‘Always in Light Theme’.
The new dark mode will help users to save from unnecessary eye strain as well as save battery. Earlier, the map went into dark mode while navigating, depending on the time of day. Google Maps used to go into dark mode after sunset and return to bright or default mode after sunrise.
