Mumbai, 4/3 (AO Bureau) :The Income Tax Department took action against some people and companies associated with the film industry on Wednesday. The action also includes Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, film director Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane, and Madhu Mantena. Apart from this, the locations of Phantom Films, Kwan Talent Hunt Company, and Exide Company were raided. Raids of the Income Tax Department started in Pune on Wednesday (March 3) till late in the night. It is reported that today the Income Tax Department is taking its action again and this raid can continue for the next three days.
According to sources in the Income Tax Department, the raid that has been put on the bases of Anurag Kashyap-Tapasi Pannu can last for three days. The Income Tax Department’s team questioned Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu till late in the night. Apart from this, the Income Tax Department conducted a search operation in the offices associated with them in Mumbai.
During the raid, the Income Tax Department teams have seized several papers, confiscated laptops, and other electronic devices, which have been sent to the forensic lab for investigation.
According to media reports, Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu are also being questioned in Pune. It is believed that both have been kept in a hotel room here. However, no confirmation has been made yet.
On Wednesday, the Income Tax Department searched about 30 places. Red started in Mumbai and Pune on Wednesday between 8 am and 9 am. Officers continued to visit these places till late night
